An article in the Mirror this week has claimed a link between household cleaning sprays and the rise of asthma. Cleaning sprays used in the home and work place may contain chemicals that are harmful to those suffering from asthma. Dr Jan Paul Zock, of the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology in Barcelona, said: "Our research shows cleaning-related asthma is a public health issue and is potentially preventable."
Asthma UK and e-cloth have recently joined forces to help asthma sufferers clean their homes. As e-cloths only use water all chemicals are avoided.
